8 Days : Morocco Adventure Tour

Day 1:  Marrakech Pick up from Marrakech airport.

Day- off to visit the city. Marrakech is a four-colour city: ochre-coloured from the ground, white from the Atlas Mountains, blue from the sky and green from the vegetation. Marrakech is the great level of Haouz, surrounded by the High Atlas Mountains. It was chosen by Abou Bakr, chief of Almoravide, for being an area with great water richness. The city was built with the region own materials: wood from the Atlas forests, blue stones and sand. Thus, Marrakech was given rise – the snow and gold oases- .

Day 2: Marrakech –Tizi ntichka –  Ouarzazate

Departure to the South. From the Ait Ourir village, the road becomes narrower to cross Tiz-in-Tichka neck with 2,260 meter-altitude. The slope is made through the ued Tamesnar valley. We could also visit the Irhem N’Ougdal tighremt (granary), an adobe and stone building whose towers allow the surveillance of the village surroundings. Other treasure of the region declared world heritage by UNESCO is Ait Benhaddou, which is fortified by gorgeous crenellated and decorative towers. This is one of the most beautiful villages of the Glaua region.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – valley of Roses –  Todra  Gorges – Merzouga

8am transfer to Tinerhir and detour along the Todra Gorge to visit the mouth of the gorge. Continue to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Camel trekking in Erg Chebbi is the highlight of our Marrakech desert tours and your chance to experience the desert at the leisurely pace of a camel. Arrive at the edge of the Sahara to meet your desert guide for an Erg Chebbi camel trek to our nomad tented camp in the deep desert dunes. Desert camp to include evening meal and breakfast.

Day 4 :Merzouga – Sahara Desert – Erg Chebbi

After breakfast in your riad, you will start an explorative journey of the area before you camel trek and spend the night at the desert camp. Today, you’ll visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle. Not far away there’s the lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations. You may also visit the nomad wire house where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities. On the afternoon you will mount your camel, guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the golden sand sea of Merzouga . Dinner in front of the tent where you will spend the night.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga -Rissani-Erfoud- Midelt – Fes

After breakfast in the hotel, leave for Rissani. If it is a Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday this is an opportunity to explore the souk , once a meeting place for many caravans coming from Timbuctou in Mali. Rissani – once Sijilmassa – is the foundation of the Alaouite Aynasty, the current ruling family. With most of the woman veiled, and men hooded, this is a very traditional Moroccan town.We‚we’ll continue driving towards Efroud where you will see the sudden change in the scenery. The desert, dry land will change into the green valley of Ziz, date palms and green gorges. Then continue onto the Middle Atlas

Mountains passing Ifrane and Azrou. A forested cedar hillsides where colony of monkeys will keep you amused .

Day 6: Exploring Fes

After breakfast in your riad , you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter,the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramique view over the whole Medina of Fes.In the afternoon, we will visit the new city “La ville nouvelle” for a drink. Overnight accommodation in the riad or hotel.

Day 7: FES – CASABLANCA:

After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Fez, the most ancient of the imperial cities of Morocco., and depart to Casablanca, Regaining of the economical Capital of Morocco via the high way.. You’ll have a short tour of the city’s important sights, and then to go  to the hotel,

Day 8: CASABLANCA – AIRPORT :

Transfer to Airport (transfer). End of our services
