Day 1: FEZ TO MERZOUGA DESERT
Our unforgettable 2 Days Tour from Fes to Sahara Desert Merzouga begins at 8 am. We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Fez and set off towards Merzouga, crossing the majestic Middle Atlas Mountains that span 350 kilometers across Morocco. Along the way, we’ll pass through picturesque villages like Ifrane, often dubbed the “Moroccan Switzerland” for its charming architecture, and Azrou, renowned as one of Morocco’s most vibrant Berber cities.
As we traverse the Valley and Ziz Gorges, the landscape transforms before our eyes. By afternoon, we’ll arrive at the awe-inspiring Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Here, you’ll have the option to freshen up at the lodge before embarking on a captivating camel ride through the dunes, capturing unforgettable vistas and moments. Arriving at our desert camp nestled amidst the sands, you’ll be greeted with a refreshing mint tea and ample free time to unwind. Don’t miss the chance to climb the dunes and witness a breathtaking sunset. As night falls, enjoy a sumptuous dinner accompanied by live Berber music around a crackling campfire, immersing yourself fully in the desert’s enchanting atmosphere.
Day 2: MERZOUGA TO FEZ
Rise early to witness a magical spectacle—the sunrise casting its first rays over the Saharan dunes, painting the sky in hues of gold and pink. After this unforgettable experience, savor a delicious Berber breakfast freshly prepared at the camp. Following breakfast, we’ll embark on a camel ride back to our vehicle, bidding farewell to the desert and beginning our journey back to Fez.
En route, we’ll pass through Tafilalt and Rissani, the historic origins of the Alaouite dynasty and former capital of the Alaouite sultans. Our journey continues through Azrou and Ifrane, where we’ll pause in the National Park to encounter native Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. Spend a memorable moment observing, photographing, and even feeding these playful creatures.
In the afternoon, we’ll arrive back in Fez, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of our service and your incredible 2 Days Tour from Fes to Sahara Desert Merzouga.
