DAY 1: MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS (TIZI NTICHKA) – OUARZAZATE – DRAA VALLEY – ZAGORA
Departure to the desert of Zagora and Draa Valley from your accommodation in Marrakech, at 08h00 in the morning to the South of Morocco, crossing the High Atlas through the port of Tizi N Tichka, at 2260 meters altitude. We will make several photographic stops to enjoy spectacular views of the High Atlas. We can also stop for a while to visit the women’s cooperative of the Atlas of Argan oil, and see the artisan technique of Argan products. From there we will continue our journey to the city of OUARZAZATE: city called as the door of the desert or also the city of cinema, where they shot many international films, such as (Asterix Obelix, Lawrence d’Arabia, Gladiator … etc), there we will visit the film studios, where the entrance fee is 8 € per person.
Then we will continue our journey crossing the Anti-Atlas or the Little Atlas, where we will make a panoramic stop to take some pictures of the landscape, and then we go down to the village of Agdz where we will make another panoramic stop in the Draa Valley (the largest valley in Morocco). In the afternoon we arrive in the city of ZAGORA and transfer to the camp.
Dinner and overnight in desert camp (An unforgettable night under the stars with live drum music show after dinner with a bonfire).
DAY 2: ZAGORA – AGDEZ – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH
We wake up early to see the sunrise on the dune closest to the camp. Free time to take magical pictures, and enjoy the silence of this desert of Zagora (the closest to Marrakech and where you can find some sand). And then we will have a rich breakfast in the restaurant, then we will take the road back to Marrakech, continuing our route in the direction of La Kasbah or the village of Ait Ben Haddou, (An ancient fortress of the eleventh century, declared a World Heritage Site). And then we will cross the mountains of the Anti-Atlas, through the port of Tizi-N Tinifift or Ait Saouen (1660 meters altitude). At about 12h we will arrive at the famous village “Ait Ben Haddou” where many movies have been filmed such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, Alexander the Great, Sahara, Babel ….. Free time to visit the Kasbah on foot and have lunch, in the afternoon return to Marrakech through the valley of Ounila to reach the village of Telouet. Crossing the High Atlas to reach the red city of Morocco (Marrakech), transfer to where we can get the car and end of our service and of our 2 days private desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora.
